The City recommends that residents NOT bag yard waste. Disposing of yard waste can be accomplished by using a backyard composter or leaving grass clippings on the grass. This recommendation includes mulching of leaves. For City pick-up of yard waste items, see the following.
Yard Waste Collection Fee:
$1.60 per kraft paper bag - One $1.60 yellow sticker. Stickers can be purchased at City Hall, local grocery stores, convenience stores, hardware stores, and garden centers. If using leftover $0.60 orange stickers, two of them are required on each bag of yard waste.
There is no charge to collect bundled tree trimmings and branches. There is no charge for bagged yard waste collection during certain "free" dates in the Spring and Fall.

Rules:
Yard Waste Bags
- 50 pounds per kraft paper bag.
Tree and Hedge Trimmings
- No stickers are required.
- Branches shall be no longer than 5 feet.
- No branches larger than 6" in diameter
- Secure tightly with heavy twine or rope.
- Bundles shall be no more than 18" in diameter.
Set Out Time:
No later than 7:00 a.m. on the regular collection day.
No Burning Ordinance:
The burning of leaves and other yard waste is prohibited by city ordinance.
