Park Band

 

OUR MISSION:

To provide recreational opportunities that enrich the quality of life for all.

Bettendorf Park Band is a volunteer concert band established in 1967, that provides the opportunity for amateur musicians to enjoy the pleasure of playing in a band.
 
Fall 2010 and Spring 2011:
 
Friday November 5, 2010, Pre Veterans Day Concert - 7:30pm
Herb Goettsch Community Center 2204 Grant Street
 
Sunday November 28, 2010,  Festival of Trees Concert 1:00pm
River Center, Downtown Davenport.
 
Sunday April 10, 2011, Spring Concerts - 3:00pm

Band rehearsals are Thursdays from 7:30pm-9:00pm in the Herbert D. Goettsch Community Center. In case of bad weather, please listen to the local radio/TV stations. If school is cancelled in Bettendorf on Thursday, due to bad weather, the band will not rehearse. The band is open to any instrumentalist from high school through post-high school age. Any high school students wishing to join the band must participate in the instrumental music program in their own school. The only "fee" for membership in the Park Band is the purchase of a Park Band Shirt. At present time, the cost of the shirt is $15.00. The Band Director is Jim Crowder.
