New Waiver for Parks Programs
Parents:
Please note - both custodial parents' signatures are now required on the participation waiver for all parks programs. Your child will not be able to participate until both signatures are obtained.
When you check the "I agree" button on the on-line registration, you are agreeing for both parents.
Remember, you ARE REQUIRED to register for Playgrounds this year!
There is still no fee for Bettendorf residents, we are just requiring that you register prior to the start of the program. Counselors will not be taking registrations on-site.
Ages 6-12 (must be 6 . NO EXCEPTIONS)
Must be a Bettendorf Resident to be free.
All non Bettendorf residents may participate this year for a fee of $50.00

Remember when you went to the neighborhood playground program as a kid? The program is alive and as much fun as ever! Six sites are provided and staffed for the eight weeks, providing your child with a variety of supervised activities including field trips, weekly swimming at Splash Landing, athletics, games, crafts, picnics and community service projects. Register at the Playground site. Let us help your child have a Summer Packed with Fun, encourage them to attend their neighborhood playground. New this year! Register on-line, still no fee!

Staff Program Manager: Cindy Hufford is employed by the City of Bettendorf at the Life Fitness Center. Each of the six sites is staffed with a Site Manager and a minimum of two to four staff leaders.
FEE: No registration fee for Bettendorf residents. There is a fee for Field Trips. All Children MUST BE pre-registered with their Park supervisor prior to participating in any field trips. The permission slip for the specific trip must be turned in the last day the program meets before the field trip. Money is to be brought the DAY OF the field trip. This is necessary to insure an adequate number of busses and staff are arranged for the trip.

Inclement Weather:
The playground activities will be cancelled and/or suspended in the event of a threat of, or imminent severe weather. This will also include hot, humid temperatures in the upper 90's. If the activity is cancelled prior to the start of the day's activities, it will be on the program hot line, at 344-4467, on this website (Cancellations), and on Channel 9. If it is cancelled after the start of the program, staff will remain with the children until they are picked up. All sites have a cellular phone for emergencies.
Children must be 3 years of age by June 1st, must be toilet trained, and able to participate in a large group setting. Children who are not able to adjust to this environment may not be ready to attend; if your child cannot make this adjustment, a credit will be given. Activities include socialization, games, storytelling, arts and crafts, and field trips. Registration is limited at each site.
