State of Iowa Retail Cigarette Permits are issued by the City. License violations are processed by the County and enforced at the State Level.
Permits are annual and run from July 1st to June 30th. Automatic renewal notices are sent out around June 1st of each year, however; it is the responsibility of the license holder to maintain a current license. An expired license can and will result in a state penalty. Cost of the permit is $100, payable to the City of Bettendorf. All applications should be sent to the City of Bettendorf at the address indicated below.
