Sewer Refund Program


This program primarily benefits those with a regular outlay of water, usually with an irrigation system or a pool.

If equipment has not yet been installed:
  1. Hire a plumber to install the equipment. Your licensed plumber will need to pull a permit and you will then need to complete the attached form to get started on the program. 
If equipment has already been installed:
  1. And you are the first owner, you should complete the attached form to get started on the program.
  2. And you are not the first owner, you can contact City Hall Sewer Department at 563-344-4003 to check and see if the house is already on the program.  If so, there is nothing more you need to do, the house in currently enrolled in the program. If not, you will need to complete the attached form to get signed up on the program.

The initial application fee for the program is $100, which will be subtracted from your refund. We will also schedule an inspection to make sure the meters are running properly.
