Since 2002, Quad City Arts has facilitated the leasing and installation of public sculpture in the Quad Cities. The City of Bettendorf has utilized the program since 2008.

Those passing by Martha's Point will see a new sculpture, The Steps of Machu Picchu by James K. Johnson of Charleston, IL.

You can also see Iowa by Zachary Bowman of Ankey, IA, which is located in front of the Waterfront Convention Center.

If you visit Faye's Field, you will see Learning Curve by Frederick B. Napoli of Lake Zurich, IL.

The three sculptures will be in place through June, 2014.

Through the program, Bettendorf has purchased one sculpture for its' permanent collection entitled "Cradle" by Donald Horstman at the Waterfront Convention Center. Another sculpture, "Unity," by Paul Bobrowitz of Colgate, WI, was purchased by Hawkeye Paving of Bettendorf and is displayed near City Hall.

The Quad City Arts Center Gallery is located at 1715 Second Avenue in the Arts and Entertainment District of Rock Island. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. All Quad City Arts programs are funded in part by Festival of Trees; Quad City Arts Partners; and operating grants from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency; and the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs.
