2012 Street Resurfacing

Beginning during the week of July 16, 2012 and continuing into October, the following streets will be barricaded at various locations for concrete patching, followed by edge milling and application of an asphalt overlay:  Aspen Hills Circle (and the intersection at Aspen Hills Drive), Elmwood Drive, Lincoln Place, Lindbergh Drive, Parkway Drive from Middle Road to Grant Wood School, Skyline Drive from Parkway Drive to Olympia Drive, South Hampton Drive from Spruce Hills Drive to 820 feet North, and Woodland Lane.

Concrete work at spot locations for sewer repairs, pavement patching, and intersection crosswalk reconstruction is expected to last approximately 3 weeks, during which alternating two-way traffic may be required at those locations.

During the same approximate 3 weeks, the intersection of Parkway Drive and Skyline Drive will be reconstructed in two stages.  During the first stage Parkway Drive will be closed to through traffic from Middle Road to Skyline Drive, and the intersection will allow alternating traffic to and from Olympia Drive and Sycamore Drive.  During the second stage Parkway Drive will be closed to through traffic between Skyline Drive and Sycamore Drive, with traffic detoured using Sycamore Drive, Hillside Drive, and Olympia Drive.

After concrete work, milling of the existing pavement and applying asphalt surfacing to the above streets will be done in segments, with barricades moved as the work progresses during the work day.  The streets will be open to traffic at the end of each work day.

The start date and duration of the project is highly dependent on weather.  Roadside residents can access more detailed location information and updates by visiting www.bettendorf.org and clicking on Departments \ Public Works \ Engineering \ Road Closures, or contact the Bettendorf Public Works Department at 563-344-4055.
