For more information, contact the Bettendorf Public Works Department at 563-344-4055.
-Beginning Monday, August 19, 2019 and continuing for approximately three weeks, a portion of Willow Drive immediately north of the traffic circle will be closed to all traffic for pavement reconstruction. During this time, the remaining portion of Willow Drive north of the work zone and south of Maplecrest Road will temporarily be converted to a two-way street. On-street parking will also be prohibited during this time to accommodate two-way traffic.
-Beginning Thursday, August 15, 2019 and continuing for approximately one week, Indiana Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between Middle Road and Wells Ferry Road. The closure will take place in two stages. The first stage will extend from 230th Avenue to Wells Ferry Road. The second stage will extend from Middle Road to 230th Avenue. Thru traffic will be detoured onto Forest Grove Drive during this time. Local access for residents will not be affected.
-Beginning Monday, August 12, 2019 and continuing through Wednesday, August 14, 18th Street will be closed immediately north and south of Grant Street (US Highway 67) for the installation of traffic signal foundations. The closures will not extend to the adjacent alleys and all business accesses will remain open. Thru-traffic on 18th Street will be detoured to 17th Street. The work is weather dependent.
-Beginning Monday, August 5, 2019 and continuing for approximately two weeks, Indiana Avenue will be under construction between Middle Road and Wells Ferry Road. The repair work will consist of scarifying, grading, and shaping of the existing surface to correct irregularities. A new sealcoat wearing surface will then be applied to the repaired base. The work will be done under traffic. No detour routes will be established. Flaggers will be present to perform traffic control but drivers are warned to expect delays.

-Beginning Monday, July 22, 2019, and continuing until June 2020, the Spruce Hills Multi-Use Path project from Utica Ridge Road to 18th Street will commence. Initial stages of the project will involve the removal and replacement of the intersections on the north side of Spruce Hills Drive within the project limits excluding the Utica Ridge Road and 18th Street intersections. After completion of the intersection work, the removal of the existing sidewalk and replacement with a 10-foot wide multi-use path will continue starting at Utica Ridge Road and continuing east to 18th Street.  Traffic will remain open in both directions for the duration of the project but the northernmost lane of Spruce Hills Drive will be closed at various times to conduct construction operations.

-Beginning Monday, July 8, 2019 and continuing through August, Middle Road will be under construction between Devils Glen Road and Belmont Road. The work will consist of full depth concrete patching and storm intake reconstruction. Construction will be phased in two stages. The first stage will close the two westbound (north) lanes with two-way traffic being moved to the eastbound (south) lanes. The second stage will close the two eastbound (south) lanes with two-way traffic being moved to the reconstructed westbound (north) lanes. The start date and duration of the project is dependent on weather.

- Beginning Monday, June 17, 2019, and continuing for about three months, the Crow Creek Road reconstruction project from Davis Street to Devils Glen Road will commence with traffic flow allowed eastbound only on Crow Creek Road.  Westbound traffic for Crow Creek Road will be detoured north on Devils Glen Road, then westbound on 53rd Avenue, then southbound on 18th Street. The project involves removal of the existing roadway surface and replacement with a granular drainable base, drain tile, curb & gutter then resurfaced with Hot Mix Asphalt.  The project also includes some driveways, sodding and other work related to rehabilitate the roadway.  The start date and duration of the project is dependent on weather.
