Gift Deadline: December 1, 2023
Stop by the Bettendorf Police Department, 1609 State Street, to pick out a tag on our Senior Tree. This initiative provides gifts to seniors in our area who may otherwise go without. Unwrapped gifts must be returned no later than December 1, 2023.Letters to the North Pole

Want to get in touch with the North Pole? We can help! Drop off your letter and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to our special mailboxes located at the Family Museum or Bettendorf Community Center, 2204 Grant Street, and our elves will make sure all children on the NICE LIST receive a response from the North Pole! Gingerbread Man Themed Tea Party
December 1st, 9:30am-10:30am
Put on your dress-up clothes and have some pretend “tea and treats” at the Family Museum. Toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy a themed story, songs, and make-believe treats at the tea party table!Reindeer Day
December 2nd, Noon-5pm
During Reindeer Day at the Family Museum, you can see a real live reindeer, play some reindeer games, and enjoy a special dance performance from the Family Museum Dance Company.

Pack a Police Car/Fire Truck
December 2nd, Noon-2pm
If you’re planning on going to Reindeer Day, consider helping the Bettendorf Police Department and Bettendorf Fire Department by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy during their Pack a Police Car and Fire Truck event and you'll receive $2 off Family Museum Admission on Reindeer Day. The police car and fire truck will be located in the parking lot between the Family Museum and Bettendorf Public Library.'Tis the Season, Senior Holiday Event

Registration Deadline: November 30th
'Tis the Season is a free holiday event put on specifically for seniors in the Quad Cities at the Waterfront Convention Center. It includes live entertainment from bands, choirs, dancers, and more. There are also refreshments served by Bettendorf City Council and City Staff. The event is free, but registration is required.

December 16th, 3:30pm-7:30pm
Registration Deadline: December 14th
Drop off your little elf at the Bettendorf Community Center for an afternoon of fun so Santa can get his shopping done! Kids (Ages: 5-12) will enjoy holiday-themed crafts, games, cookie decorating, and more. To wrap up the day, every child will receive a pizza dinner while watching The Grinch on the big screen!

December 18th, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Put on your jammies and head to the Family Museum for a cozy evening of singing and family togetherness! Make a jingle bell bracelet and sing some holiday favorites together in the beautifully decorated Great Hall with Mr. Taylor Sings! Our galleries are closed during this event, so this event is free.

The grown-ups get to stay up until midnight, so the kids get to come to the Family Museum and celebrate a countdown to 12... Noon! Come early for jingle bracelets, crowns, and face painting. Tickets are $6 for Family Museum Members and $12 for Non-Members.
